Aris

Aris the Yogi is a Certified Yoga Teacher in the lineage of Shambhava Yoga and received his certification from the ShambhavAnanda Yoga Shoshoni ashram in Rollinsville, Colorado with training in asana, pranayama, meditation, yogic philosophy, teaching methods, anatomy, and Sanskrit. He began practicing yoga and meditation in 2008 while studying eastern and environmental philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin, and in 2019 completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Combining elements of hatha and vinyasa asana, his meditative style emphasizes linking breath with movement to deepen awareness of the Inner Self, building stability, strength, and balance within and out as practice for life beyond the mat. He designs his classes to be accessible to beginners while offering challenge-options for experienced practitioners.

Aris is the author of the Being book series of poetry and philosophy of yoga, nature, and consciousness.
